I wrote first post here. I have found no solution to the problem here or elsewhere. I found a copy of version 1.6d and have exactly same problem as with 1.7c. The icon is just dead. Like I said I have the JRE installed and have a fairly typical Win98 system so I do not see why it does not run and why there is no solution offered by anyone. It must be a fairly common problem.
