If an un-erase tool of some sort doesn't recover your files they must have already been overwritten. I'm afraid that it's almost impossible to recover your files if that is the case. Make as little changes as possible to your hard drive and try several different tools to find them (shareware and freeware, I reccomend trying to find a free or trial tool before you buy).
