I have a cable connection.
I run win 98, 256mb ram, and a firewall.
I have no problems with the firewall.
I have no problems with the "always on" connection......
Sort of...
See, when I am NOT running the Lime Wire software, I get CONTINUOUS "hits" (Pings, inquiries, etc)
I feel that once I disconnect from the limewire servers, i SHOULD be disconnected ENTIRELY!
My IP shouldn't be "seen" by ANYONE after I log off.
It took me (till now) 5 minutes to type this e-mail, and in order to finish it, I just unplugged the cable line.
(Too many firewall pop-up interactive windows!)
Could you PLEASE address this situation of the ip's still being seen by the network?
I mean, I am logged OUT of Limewire. WHY does it still think I am logged on?
ANYONE with suggestions, please feel free to drop me an e-mail, as I rarely have time to look back at a forum to see the response. (Well, also post here, so others can get the message!)
