1. Go directly to the LW program folder & try opening from there. Sometimes shortcuts become corrupted. If it opens then recreate the shortcuts. If not, then see below.

2. Try changing the compatibility of LW to Win 2k mode; instructions: Fixes for Limewire (point 4)

3. If that doesn't work, uninstall Java 1.5 & install Java 1.4.2 instead. (see java link from above.) But dowdnld Java to your comp., don't install over the net.

* By the way, LW 4.8.0 had a security issue. That's a good reason to update!
