I can promise you however, that even if LimeWire was sued out of business, the LimeWire open-source project would continue to update the software. Many (if not most) of the open-source contributors don't live in the U.S. and would certainly not be affected by any decision of the SCOTUS.

So, there is a plan B...
Cheers trap_jaw4. Thanks for the reply. Although this is clearly a general p2p issue, I've got more than a passing interest in Limewire! So that's why I posted here. I'm currently posting on a tech. forum on this topic and it's good for me to keep in touch with the feelings of the p2p community, the software developers, together with the views of the other side.
