That Broadband modem you are laughing at is the one I use, albeit an earlier model, and it is very good, easy to use and doesn't cause any problems, So don't laugh

Anyway, it is a SpeedTouch 330 modem, it has a USB connection, it draws its power from your PC, i.e. it switches on an off when the PC is on or off.
The lights on the front tell you when you have an internet connection, when data is going through and when there is an error.
And it does not have a built in firewall.
