Eric808 the usual issue that causes that for OSX is the Java. OSX's Java is not the best to say the least. And often what happens is updates via the net cause the Java to be broken or the update has bugs. Two answers I can think of are to repair your permissions: SAFE Boot & Repair Permissions & re-installing Java using the Standalone installer (ie: you downld the installer & install it manually.) You said you'd been to the LW site but did you see the link for Mac OSX issues with their Java? That was an issue with one of the security updates that also included Java as part of the installation but it caused issues. ie; You have a choice of using this http://www.apple.com/downloads/macos...update142.html or another one you'll find somewhere in the other link I gave.
