actually that's what i did when i tried to upgrade. the official site is where the problem began. i sent a message to [email protected] but no response. still sitting there with part of the files not deleted and no way to get downloads to work.
thanks anyway.

if i could get the partial limewire files (jar files mostly) off then i would download from the official site immediately.
