Default Roxio/Plextor issues and such

Is there anyone out there who uses a Plextor DVD R/RW drive? The question is this: I've been making some very fun music cds in the Roxio Creator Classic program, but if I save the project after, it dumps it in my music folder with an .rcl extension. I've tried every help file I can access, including the one in Roxio and none of them can tell me just what .rcl means.
If I try to open the program back up, Roxio says it can't find its own file. None of my players want to play back the saved-on-computer .rcl files. The cd works fine in my car, on the computer etc., but what I want is to use those music files again for other mixed cds.
Anybody have a clue what .rcl stands for? I've tried to change the extension to .mpg, but that hasn't worked either. Any suggestions besides downloading the music again? Thanks for any help anyone can offer. I've only got about a million more questions to ask, but I'll wait, do some research in the forum and see if someone's already posted the answers.
