LW 4.9 is more sensitive to firewalls & UPnP is more sensitive, particularly if attempting to run in Ultrapeer mode. Disable ultrapeer capabilities under Tools>Options>Speed.

Marianne disable your XP firewall: go to the control panel, double click on Windoze Firewall, check the disable box. Norton & XP firewall are known to cause problems if both are active at the same time. Alternative instructions for Norton: *Configuring Norton Internet Security

BTW LW 4.9.29 has been released & is probably well worth installing instead of 4.9.26
