Yea, you'll only get support from the LW site if you purchase the pro version and thats just for 6 months, otherwise you come here to the forums for support.
The connection problem could be a number of things like a firewall or something like that. for LimeWire support you should go here:
Gnutella Forums > Current Gnutella Client Forums > LimeWire (Cross-platform)
and post in the Connection Problems section. I think the support you'll get is quite good. It also helps to read the stickys at the top of the forums and be courteous when you post.
