2 & a half weeks after you lost the files, you've left it a bit late if I may say. Whenever a file is deleted from your computer, there's a skeleton left over; ie: the system & hdd retains information about that file. However, if you continue writing onto the hdd by saving new files, then chances are it might write over that area where the previous files were stored. The longer you leave it, the harder it is to recover files that have been deleted. If you accidentally delete a file, then you should immediately stop doing anything that might write over the portion of the hard disk drive where the files were. I also haven't used PC Recovery but have used Norton Unerase. With norton, you can not only check for all types of files that are recoverable, but also check for specific file types. I think PC Recovery can do the same thing but you'll need to read the manual about how to do that.
