well i tried the deletion of the preferences and that didnt work. yeah i know about the windows firewall and i didnt turn it off. (thanks for reminding me about that. totally forgot) java ive tried...actually ive tried every java that has been recomended to me. nothing worked.

but i got it to work finally.

what i did was just updated my video card driver. i saw that remedy on these boards and i did it before and it didnt work. so i uninstalled the driver and i reinstalled a new driver for my, AND DONT LAUGH , ati 9200se...presto...worked like a charm.


these boards are extremely helpful .
