I use DVDSanta so can only tell you how that works.

All you do is add both the downloaded files when asked to "add media". It then converts them both to the right format and burns them onto one disc.

When you play it back on your DVD player you don't see any join or any break.

Hope this helps, no doubt Nero and other programmes will do the same. I just found Nero too complicated.
