It seems noone has replied. They will with better advise. But try the install thred at Limewire - install at this site. It has in it fixes for windows. It also deals with any known problems that have happened to other users over the years.

What I mean is you have posted to the less monitored area of problemed users. You can ask advise in install or connections or wherever. Your problem may not be a general windows problem if everything else is working well.
I personally Recomend Lord of Rings. He saved my rear alot.
