First, you must have chat enabled in the option setting of LW (LW> Tools> Options> Chat).
Then, after you have searched for files, right-click on the one you want to chat with. If the other person has also chat enabled and is not firewalled then it might work, though that is not always sure......(it's definitely not a kinda chat function like msn or yahoo... )
