Ok You're on Windows XP. It is possible to save the files to your "iTunes Music Folder". If you order your folder by "date added" you can then select all the new tunes ... listed together.. and add them to your iTunes Library, and if you have selected for iTunes to automatically sort your tunes by name artist ec, it will do this. and you will have just the one copy of each file

You do however afaik need to open the folder to select the tunes to add them to iTunes library.

I asked if you were using a Mac as if you were you could have the songs loaded into iTunes automatically.

I am told that saving songs to your iTunes folder can cause problems, but I am not sure why it should, and with Mac it certainly does not.
