Sounds good to me. At present our default programs for that type of file will open when we launch it. Which is in most circumstances sufficient. But not always. There's also particular reasons a person may want to choose another (not necessarily default) program to launch a particular file. I like the idea of such flexibility!!!

For window's behalf, yes ... there's too many young & ignorant users out there who simply don't know that they should scan what they downld. A more incomprehensive feature such as linking to the default av program would be great!
