You are only supposed to have one connection - to a superpeer who does all of your searching for you to allow the network to scale properly.

Try this: Connect. Wait a minute. Search for something. If you don't get any results, disconnect from that superpeer and try again. Eventually, you will get to one with a *very* good connection and can find just about anything.

Also, anyone running as a superpeer should raise that '2' at the bottom of the connections window to at least a '4'.
