Did you uninstall using the uninstall .exe of LW?
Or did you use the Add/Remove Program function via Control Panel?
Before you try to install the newer version make sure that the old one is not running somewhere in the processes.
If it is, force it to stop using the process manager (press crlt&alt together and one time on delete, so that your task manager shows up). Then install LW.
If it doesn't work then try using the computer's search & deleting all LW files. After this, if the message still pops up then it sounds like you have a virus.
