There are several things you could try if all of the things mentioned above are not the reasons for the "Awaiting Source".
One thing would be to delete the LW preference folder. This folder of the 4.12. version is usually located in the hidden Application Data folder under C:\Documents and Settings\Administrator.<your computer name>\Application Data\LimeWire
You might also search for the old preference folder of a previous LW version (if you had one installed) called " .limeiwre " as described here (Point #2 & 3 in Fixes for Limewire):

Another thing to try would be to update your Java to 1.5.0_07 when LW is completely closed; i.e. also in the system tray (use the JRE offline installer):
