Default Proper use of language-spelling, grammer, etc.

Hey all-

Since we're lounging here, hopefully with the help of a couple of adult beverages, I thought I'd bring up a topic for discussion which is driving me crazy while browsing forums, this and other. That topic: THE CORRECT USE OF LANGUAGE!

OK, so I'll admit, I'm a 50 something fuddy-duddy who can barely txtmsg, doesn't IM much, and prefers to speak full concepts in complete, well thought out sentence structures. And that goes double for using the written word.

So when I encounter posts that look something like this:

I nd hlp cuz cuz knt dwnld warez wtf )&!@%)*-..."

it really gets my dander up.

Users, I implore you. If you want my help on a topic, then create your post using something resembling proper English. Or Spanish, I sort of read that OK. Or Italian, as I can ask my son for translation help. Or even Polish, I'll have the cleaning people read it for me. But this shorthand IM/textlish crap is a really good way for you to waste your time posting something which will be misunderstood by most of the intelligent users of this forum.

There...I feel better now. Hw d'u feel?
