I didn't mention trying step 6. Did you try windows NT compatibility?

One thing odd I notice about the above report is it's trying to create an incomplete folder called .limewire
LW 4.12 does not use a preference folder called .limewire anymore. Are you sure you tried both steps 2 & 3 deleting your LW prefs folder. For step 3 you can only achieve it if you set the search for show hidden files & folders. You won't find it otherwise.
Deleting the LW prefs folder is usually the solution to this type of problem. Also make sure you only have one LW program on the computer.
