Question 2 Phone Lines To Modem

JUST WONDERING DO YOU MEAN - I NEED A SECOND PHONE CONNECTION OR DO I JUST USE THE CABLE FROM THE PHONE AND CONNECT IT TO THE MODEM - THUS USING BOTH LINES FROM THE PHONE SPLITTER TO GAIN ADDITIONAL SPEED
