Rar files can be opened with winrar or similar programs. Here you can get such programs (not Winrar) for free:

Iso files are actually to burn on CD as image files or to mount them using programs such as Daemon Tools....here is a link for a freeware program (not Daemon Tools)...it's called MountVD (gotta scroll down the page a bit):
