Do these things:

1. Go to Add/Remove programs control panel & remove all versions of java. Then reinstall Java using the "Offline" Java installer which is about 15.6 MB download: Java 1.5 (take the JRE). It's the 1st on the list of actual download links on the 2nd page you get to after selecting the following:
Java Runtime Environment (JRE) 5.0 Update 9
The J2SE Runtime Environment (JRE) allows end-users to run Java applications.

2. Delete your LW preferences folder; Point #3 in Fixes for Limewire (sample image included at bottom of page.)
