The bug is with WMP. So long as the song file has nothing to do with WMP it won't be corrupted. Apparently WMP doesn't understand compressed id3 tag data ... despite most other players do. So perhaps stay clear of WMP. iTunes & winamp are better anyway.

If you're going to describe a song, do it before you add it to WMP. But better not to add it to wmp anyway. lol
