Uninstalling thru add/remove programs causes problems for lots of people. The correct way is via start > all programs > LimeWire then choose the uninstall option.

You could reinstall LW (this should remove the previous version) & then uninstall the right way...see if that gets rid of everything. If not, use your computer's search to look for any leftover LW files or folders & delete things that way.

Just have to ask...when you said LW was stuffing up, was it popping up all the time & refusing to stay closed? If that was the case, that sounds like a virus & uninstalling LW won't get rid of the virus. Check the post below for more info about this
