Hey... think about this - on serial connections there are 1 start and 2 stop bits, so a "byte" would take 11 bit "times" to get there. So when calculating do they consider the 11 bits or just count the bytes after they arrive? So is 56K really 56K? and 56K upload speed is 31K as I understand it, that is why you get such slow download from modem users. my modem has never returned CONNECT string of more than 46K - makes me wonder if my upload is more like 28.8!
