My thoughts are your D-Link at fault. You need to do either of 2 things, enable UPnP or else, forward a port. I have a D-Link & after port forwarding have never looked back. I believe D-Links do better with PF than UPnP but some people use UPnP happily ... may depend upon model. BTW as a side-note, make sure LimeWire is on the exception list of AOL's security. It's known to mistakenly think LW is spyware & attempt to remove it.
