ma sys details are as follows
win xp 1 gig ram 120 GB HHD ,im connecting frm DLINK DI-624s router,no firewalls.
My connection is a local ethernet type connection,like a direct cat 5 cable is provided by the ISP.Im in INDIA the ISP is Sify .

Ive tried all the solutions in the sticky posts, the router and firewall have been configured to let limewire(4.12.11 basic) work and the page www3.limewire.com/6346 shows positive results.The router has been configured to allow port forwarding.

This problem was non existent before installing the router (ie when the ethernet cable went directly to my desktop).
