I hesitate to help because I don't own a laptop...I'm not familiar with them. But...

Let's check if your firewalls are configured, shall we?

1. Windows - open your control panel, go to windows firewall. This should be turned OFF (we don't want 2 firewalls running simultaneously, as they can interfere with each other).

2. McAfee Security Center - Right-click on the McAfee icon in the system tray (the big 'M' in the bottom right of your screen). There should be an option for Firewall...and there should be a further option for allowed applications or exceptions. Click on this. Now, you should locate Limewire in your list of programs and make sure it says 'Allow full access'. If not, change your settings so that Limewire is allowed full access.

Hope this helps you get started
