Tiscali are the pain, not you

Heaps of people have been having problems with them lately. Some people have found changing ports helps. To do this, in LW go tools > options > advanced > firewall config. There you can change LW's listening port. Good ones to try are 49152 - 65535. Someone recently got connected after weeks of pain using port 139. If you do change ports, you'd also have to change any specific ports allowed thru a software firewall & any ports forwarded thru a router (this doesn't apply to you...your modem doesn't have a firewall, the info's more for other people who read this thread later

I don't know how you 'fixed' it...connection seems to come & go at random for some Tiscali customers.
