Lightbulb Fight spam with Limewire

*My english is a bit rusty, but I'm working on it ...*

I'm not a programmer, so I don't know if the following is possible. But we all like sharing things, so I share this thought with you ...

Let's use Limewire to fight spam ...
Nowardays, spam isn't actually fought. It's being ignored, either by spamfilters, anti-spamsoftware and ourselves.

There are two key elements in fighting spam: the mail headers and the content.
Suppose we share our spam information with others. You end up with a huge amount of intellegence that can be used to analyse spamtraffic, to filter other spam messages but most importantly it can be used as evidence against the spammer. Whole bot army's can be found, ISP can be contacted, ...

The only concern I have is the privacy of the user. The mailaddress of the receiver should be removed before the spammail is placed into the limewire spamsharing folder.

We don't need to find ourselves a weapon against spam, we ARE the weapon.

Nota Bene: LimeWire, as other sharing software, is still regarded as an instrument for illegal distribution of mp3-files and such. If it would be possible to share "spam", the perception would change and a lot of sceptics would see the benefits of p2p software.

Thanks for reading ...
