Yes. My brother and I are sharing a wireless connection with the host computer (my mom's). He has no problems with limewire and I do.
12. Is this a your 1st try at LW or is this a new problem with an experienced user.
Experienced user, new problem. Tuesday limewire stopped connecting. The only thing I did differently that day was run Adaware SE.
13. Do you see a brick wall in front of the blue world icon at the bottom of LW's interface?
yes. My brother has a brick wall in front of his but he has no problems.
I have uninstalled/installed limewire, uninstall/install java 5.11(recommended), add exceptions to listening port and limewire, limewire jar didn't work either, shutdown all firewalls and still couldn't connect, tried different (active) listening ports, and tried locating my limewire preference folder but couldn't locate it even when i changed the setting to "show all hidden files." [through the search engine and application data, where it is supposed to be located].
I'm running out of ideas. Has anyone else ran into this much trouble and overcame it? I'm starting to feel like I wasted money.
