Queensland Association for Mental Health Friendship House (referral service)

Friendship House can refer you to an appropriate agency if you are experiencing problems finding the services you need. However, they are not equipped to handle large numbers of calls and ask that you check the phone book or check with the local hospital first.
Mental Health Information for Rural and Remote Australia

The North Queensland Post Natal Distress Support Group
This support group is a not for profit association which works for women and their families affected by antenatal and postnatal mood disorders. They offer telephone support, suport group meetings, resources from a lending library and a newsletter. This service is run by volunteers who have experienced PND or who have a particular interest in the area.
