Which model D-Link do you have? The newer models have UPnP but mine didn't. Did you check the UPnP section in the link at bottom of your post about how to enable UPnP for it?
As far as the brickwall/blue world icon goes, you can re-enable viewing of it by going to LW's menu bar, Tools>Options>Status Bar>Firewall Indicator
What you could do temporarily is disable your McAffee firewall & use XP firewall instead but make sure LW is configured within it so it has full access.
