• I am currently running on a wireless network which runs at 54mbps which runs from a bthomehub which is 8mbps broadband.
• Download speeds from websites can reach upto 200kbps yet when i use limewire, i am unable to get download speeds above 14kbps. Even if i download more than one thing, then the limit is spread out between each file.
• I have limewire on both my laptop and pc.
• They both share the same problem of the speed limit.
• The laptop has no firewire wall at all and the pc has nortons and windows.
• They are both on windows xp.
• I use currently the latest software of limewire.
• One problem i believe which is determining the problem is the brickwall over the globe indicating there is a firewall on. But on my laptop, there isn't any firewall available apart from the windows version which comes with it except that is completely disabled.
