I used to be able to connect with 4.8.x using the same hardware at my old house connecting with BellSouth DSL service (at least 5 months ago was the last time I connected). Now I moved and have a cable modem through Comcast. They assured me that they have nothing blocked, but I can't get connected.

8. What version of LimeWire (LW) & Java do you have? (Go to LW's menu Help>About LW...) Will show both LW & Java version. LimeWire v4.12.11, Java 1.5.0_12
9. Who is your ISP (Internet Service Provider)? Comcast

14.
For those using a modem/router, how is your modem/router set up...are you port forwarding or is UPnP enabled? I've tried it with UPnP enabled (default) which used to work before, and that didn't work. I've also tried forwarding the port (didn't work either), and putting the pc in the DMZ (didn't work)
15. What security programs are you using (antivirus etc)? Some people might not be aware that their security suite includes a firewall

Symantec AV CE v8.1.0.825
I've tried a few things, and wanted to include them:
1) I connected my PC directly to the cable modem, restarted everything, and tried the same things. No connection, and the test above passes also
2) I've tried completly disabling the Windows Firewall while I was connected directly to the cable modem, and the firewall symbol is still in the bottom corner, no connection
3) I tried messing with the exception listing for LimeWire in case it didn't get removed and readded properly when I uninstalled and installed the new version of limewire, but that had no effect either. I did notice that if I tried to add it manually, it woudl show up as LimeWire 4.8.1 instead when I chose the program from the list...
4) Like I said, I lived in another place 6 months ago with the same PC and LimeWire version 4.8.1 connected through BellSouth DSL and the same hardware etc, never had a problem. The problem existed when I fired up v4.8.1 for the first time in the new place too.
5) Reading over my own comments, I am leaning towards thinking tha Comcast is to blame. How can I prove that my ISP is blocking LimeWire traffic? I thought the link above was to test that?
