AFAIK Norton Internet Security includes a firewall. Have a look at the link below for instructions to configure the firewall. If you're using the Norton firewall, turn off XP's firewall...they'll conflict with each other

Your Java's pretty old. Try using this version instead. Use the JRE offline installer & remove your current Java version (Add/Remove Programs) before you install this one.
