Click on Start > Control Panel > Security Center > Windows Firewall > Allow a program Through Windows Firewall in the pop-up window look and see if LimeWire is listed and has a check mark in the box. If it is and there is a check mark in the box then highlight it and delete it.

Mack sure there is a check mark in the box at the bottom of the page where it says (Notify me when windows firewall blocks a new program) Now start LimeWire The windows firewall alert should pop up and ask if it should allow LimeWire access click on allow.

If it is and there is not a check mark in the box then put a check mark in the box and start LimeWire.
