Sounds like a codec issue with your player/burner. For playing, we recommend this player:
VLC - (click on link) _ (choose nearest mirror site) as it has in-built codecs.
As for burner .. not sure how it loads codecs & whether it can read those loaded on your system. Generally, Nero & Roxio burner programs are reliable for video conversions. Other members on the forums have other options also.
BTW traditionally .mov format was QuickTime movie format, but unfortunately some other windows programs have borrowed the same format & adjusted it so QuickTime & many other players struggle to play them. As for yours, sounds like a codec issue.
