DSL won't connect!!!! First off I would like to say hello I am new on the forum and found that this is the best place for help with P2P problems for my limewire. Most computer forums are filled with people who look down on people who use p2p programs such as limewire and close your forum as soon as you mention it. So here is the deal.
1. OS is Windows XP SP2

13. Yes and I know that means theres a firewall blocking, even though my firewalls are all closed
14. UPnP is enabled I tried the Port Fowarding.
15. I have Defender Pro Anti-Virus, The Firewall was a seperate disc but I un-installed it.

I'll start from the top. Limewire will not connect. I used to use Dial-Up from the same ISP so I don't think my network blocks P2P networking. Both my firewalls are turned off, and the config for my modem is set to allow gnutella. XP is installed twice on my computer so I'm not sure if thats the problem. I have tried many of the ways to fix my problem with ways on the forums here. I just spent 3 monthes fixing my connection so it would download updates, and programs, and it wouldn't even download songs from itunes. That has since been fixed. But still no connection for limewire. If anyone can help me please help. |
