I too have AT&T, used to be Bellsouth, until AT&T bought them out. I never noticed a problem until lately after I upgraded to the 4.13 PRO and then the 4.14. But even after I went back to the 4.12.15, it still seemed a little slow. I don't think AT&T is blocking ports because even though I have the brickwall, I still connect within seconds, have turbo connection almost immediately, always have connection to nothing but ultrapeers and can download/upload okay, if a little slow a lot of times. It's better thanit was with those upgrades. If everybody with AT&T starts noticing theis, then maybe there's is an issue with blocking/shaping. i don't put it past all isps to eventually try to do this.

So what's the deal with Limewire. I would really like to use limewire as bit torrent takes a long time to download anything since the files are all usually whole albums or several in one torrent.
Does anyone have any other suggestions? Otherwise I'm going to have to assume that limewire is not going to work anymore. My guess is that AT&T is blocking ports.
PS And yes i have configured the firewall on my router just in case someone was asking! |
