CruelAngel is flying high
Unhappy Worked last night, can't connect this morning

I'm having the same issue as the others, only difference being is that it worked great last not, excellent download speeds and everything.

I was running vista and having issues not just with Limewire but half my programs so decided to go back to XP. Installed XP and my drivers and software including an antivirus and all was great. Limewire was just flying! Got up this morning and no Limewire, can't connect. I believe I installed some windows updates before shutting down last night which may have caused the issue but I've uninstalled all that I found. I really don't want to reformat again and then of course not knowing what caused it in the first place it might just happen again.

1. OS version? Windows XP pro SP2
2. What firewalls you have? I have the windows one turned off and I am behind a router but that didn't bother it last night.
3. How much ram? 2gigs
4. Hard Disk space available? 121 gigs
5. Connection type? broadband
6. Modem & router brand name & model numbers? modem is an RCA and router a Linksys but considerint they were not an issue last night that doesn't seem important.
7. Where are you trying to connect from? Home
8. What version of LimeWire (LW) & Java do you have? java is the offline installation that was reccommended on another thread, LW is the latest DL.
9. Who is your ISP (Internet Service Provider)? Roadrunner
10. Do this simple test for us. Using your browser go here: http://www3.limewire.com:6346/ The page should say 'Your test worked!'. What happens when you go there? Your test Worked is displayed
11. Are you sharing the connection with other computers or p2p sharing programs? no
12. Is this a your 1st try at LW or is this a new problem with an experienced user. New Issue
13. Do you see a brick wall in front of the blue world icon at the bottom of LW's interface? yes
14. For those using a modem/router, how is your modem/router set up...are you port forwarding or is UPnP enabled? I believe UPnP
15. What security programs are you using (antivirus etc)? Panada Internet Security Suite
16. What country are you living in? USA

My windows firewall is off though I've tried having it on and doing the naual forwarding. I've followed the tips from the posts below, deleting the preferences, installing a different java pack, uninstalling my antivirus software, uninstalling all the windows updates. I'm not sure what to try next.
