Well Kez

I'm not God but I will try to help.

First thing you need to check if there are any AV entries in your Add/Remove facility within Control Panel (I am guessing that you are an XP user).

If they are then uninstall them.

Next, check your C:\ drive for left over AV app folders/directories. Again, if there are then delete them.

I would also suggest that you clean up your HD with Norton Windoctor, if you have it, clean out your temp folders and finally defrag your HD.

Reboot your PC.

Download AVG Anti-Virus installation file (do not try to install over the web) to a newly created folder.

Disable any protective app that monitors installations.

Install AVG AV from the AV exe file on your HD.

Let us know how you get on.
