Default Limewire still can't get a search to return results

Hello All, this is my first experience posting to a community I hope someone can help an older person with limit computer experience get squared away with Limewire.

Here's the deal, when I upgraded to Limewire 4.14.0 Pro I lost the ability to find any music. It appears as if I'm connected (lots of bars) but whenever I search for music, the system acts like it is searching but doesn't return anything - even music I know was there because I downloaded it before I upgraded and paid my $20.00.

I've try the connection help on limewire's site without luck.

Here's my system Windows XP home Edition, connect with DSL, run AVG Anti-Virus Free Edition 7.5484 and can't find any secuirty options on it that let me "make an exception to connect to limewire" It is loaded as an exception to my windows firewall.

I have two kids that want to use limewire, but I don't leave the computer running so I need a solution that works everytime I open limewire

I would appreciate any help offered. My email is ********* Please put Limewire Help in the subject box.

Thanks
Cathy
