When you click on the blue Java link, then click on 'Download JRE'...you'll be sent to the download page. There, you'll see that there are 2 Windows versions of JRE available for download. The top one is the offline installation (15.80 MB), the bottom one is the online installation (245.76 KB).

Put a tick next to the offline installation & download that installer. Don't forget to accept the license agreement first

In LW go file > disconnect. Wait a couple of minutes, then file > connect.

You could also try deleting LW's preferences folder when LW's properly closed. See point 3 here & also point 2 if you've used older versions of LW in the past (there could be a folder in either location).
Fixes for LimeWire
This will kill all of your settings within options, you'll have to go back through afterwards & reset things. If you're not sure of your settings, go through LW's tools > options & write them all down, so that you can reset things later.

Your answer to question 14's a bit confusing...is UPnP enabled in the router & the UPnP option checked in LW's tools > options > advanced > firewall config? Check that UPnP's enabled in your computer also (control panel > windows firewall > exceptions > tick the UPnP framework box > ok).

Or are you port forwarding??? If so, did you use the instructions here
Port Forwarding for the Netgear WGR614v5
and did you make sure to set up a static IP address first? Are LW's listening port, port in the 'manual port forward' box & port forwarded within the router all the same number?
