i had the same problem until i uninstalled alcohol 120. it seems that alcohol 120 blocks limewire to prevent downloading an illegal copie of the program. another option is to rename AXShlEx.ddl file in the alcohol directory. example: AXShlEx.ddl => AXShlEx.ddl.old

afther i done this, limewire worked fine.
