Did you find the preferences folder? Remember that LW has to be completely closed before deleting that folder. Did you look for a folder in the old location (C:\Documents and Settings\your username\.limewire) as well? If you deleted the prefs folder properly, all of your LW options would've reverted back to default


Have another look on the Speedtouch for a model number...something like 580, 545, 510 etc. Once you've found the model, go to this page & find your router model.

Then choose LimeWire from the program list...then you'll find instructions for port forwarding. Give that a try. Don't forget to set up a static IP address first (there's info about static IP within the port forwarding instructions).

LW's listening port, port in the 'manual port forward' box & port forwarded within the router should all be the same number.
